HydX is making a big investment in its technical department.
New structure, more competences.

Hydx_31_01_20240425During 2022, Erik Larsen took over as the new Technology Manager at HydX. He replaced Håkan Erlandsson, who is now retired. Since October last year, Larsen has also been a part of the HydX management team.
“Within the last few years, HydX has ventured into new areas of technology, such as electrification, IoT and remote connectivity. At the same time, we have started several new projects in hydraulics, control systems and radio systems. This means that we need more people in our technology department and grow our expertise both in the existing and new areas of technology,” explains Larsen.
Both HydX’s turnover and operations have grown in the last few years. The company has sales offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and in Jyväskylä, Finland, and during 2024 it got an additional sales office in Halmstad when Mobile Integrator became part of the company.
“Thanks to the latest merger, we now have new talent on board in remote connectivity and control systems, as well as experience with hardware development,” says Larsen.
“Remote connectivity is in part a new area at HydX and our new colleagues have brought with them a lot of knowledge from which both our company and our clients can benefit. In HydX they have a partner with first-class competence in several related areas, such as hydraulics, electronics and control systems.

Revamped organisation for the growing technology department

HydX works actively to secure its future talents. The technology department has grown during the past ten years from two to 12 employees, and further recruitments are expected. The company also has close collaboration with the upper secondary school Ystads Gymnasium and its fourth-year technical students (T4), and is further developing its collaboration with its sister company ETP Kraftelektronik, which is specialised in the electrification process and battery drives.
“HydX is based on innovation and expertise, and together with our partners we are investing aggressively in the future. We must expand our knowledge in new areas of technology and thus it is important to hire new talents while, simultaneously, we must nurture the vast skills of many of our employees, who have years of experience in the field,” explains Larsen.
“For example, Håkan Erlandsson is still there for us as a consultant when needed, and we can benefit from his extensive experience and knowledge.”
HydX Hydraulic Solutions was founded in 2009, and its headquarters, including storage and production facilities, are located in Ystad. Within the next year, the company will move into new premises that will enable the company’s continued growth.
